JANE MCCANCE
Jane McCance was born in Glasgow and graduated in 2000 from Glasgow School of Art with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art. Of Scottish and Danish parentage, Jane's work is influenced by the landscape of both Scotland and Scandinavia, but is also concerned with themes of memory, loss and renewal; themes which are apparent not only in her landscape practice, but also in her quiet and reflective still life pieces.
Jane lives on Scotland's west coast, where she paints from her home studio seven days a week. She has exhibited with many galleries over the past two years including the Whitehouse Gallery, Fotheringham Gallery, Cameron Contemporary Art, Fosse Gallery and a recent solo exhibition at the Mansfield Park Gallery in Glasgow.
