LINDA PARK
Linda lives and works in Edinburgh and has built up a considerable following since she turned to painting full time in 2009. She is inspired by the land that surrounds her and likes to paint bold landscape interpretations of places she has visited, particularly France, where she spends a great deal of time, and the highlands of Scotland.
"I often revisit the places that inspire me at different times of day, in different lighting and weather conditions and in different seasons in order to capture the variations of light and textural qualities of a landscape and to bring new dimensions of scale and depth to my paintings. I work in oils with a wide variety of brushes, knives and other implements and enjoy the freedom to create a rich and evocative world of colour, movement and texture."
Linda held two four successful solo exhibitions at the Doubtfire Gallery and regularly takes part in Affordable Art Fairs in London and New York, again with much success. Her work is now in great demand and she has been invited to participate in exhibitions at the Annan Gallery and the Lemond Gallery, Glasgow, the Morningside Gallery and the Macmillan Art Shows in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Linda has shown work at the Edinburgh Art Fair with Art Amatoria for the past few years.
